It can be a tall order finding a display home that combines a best-selling floor plan, an affordable price tag and an impressive list of features, but we’re confident we’ve cracked it once again with The Empire, our new display home in Dayton.
Spacious and value-packed, the Empire has three big double bedrooms, along with a large study that can easily be turned into a fourth bedroom. Starting with a best-seller
We’ve based this new display on The Opulence, a Domain by Plunkett off-the-plan design that can be built from just over $166,000.
“We wanted to demonstrate this popular floor plan, but we also wanted to take the opportunity to add some additional features that will appeal to those buyers who have a little more in their budget,” Dave says.
“You’ll see a variety of inclusions and optional extras, showing you what’s possible, and enabling you to pick and choose to suit your priorities and what you want to spend.
“If you’re using The Opulence as your starting point, a visit to The Empire gives you a chance to see the layout and space you can look forward to.
“If you have a little more money in the budget, there’s a range of additional features on show to select from. Whichever version of the home you use as your inspiration, you’ll know you’re getting a flexible specification, plus a floor plan that really works.”
The Empire is the first Domain by Plunkett display to include a scullery, responding to growing demand for this practical extra storage and preparation area.
“Many people like having a scullery because you can keep a lot of the day-to-day kitchen mess out of sight. The gadgets and food items you use regularly can also be close at hand without cluttering up the main part of the kitchen,” Dave says.
“The scullery is a strong trend and popular with Plunkett clients, and we couldn’t see any reason why you should miss out if you’re building a home from the Domain by Plunkett range. After all, you’re still dealing with one of WA’s most experienced builders.”
The Empire’s kitchen design as displayed also includes long stretches of worktop, wide stainless steel cooking appliances and overhead cupboards, plus a pantry cupboard and display cube either side of the fridge/freezer recess.
Flowing straight out to the double-sized alfresco via a bank of sliding doors, the living area features an optional coffered ceiling in keeping with the display home’s elegant Hamptons-meets-French-Provincial styling.
At the front of the home is the home theatre, which features a big window throwing in plenty of light. This makes it easy for the room to function as a versatile second living area during the day.
Outside, The Empire proudly shows off a wider-than-standard front door and hand-laid stonework to the projected blade wall. The front elevation can be easily and cost-effectively customised using tiles to the blade wall to give the look of stone, or even timber.
